    The Senior Linux/Storage Operations administrator will be part of engineering services Linux team of global operations infrastructure (Linux Servers, storage, LSF, EDA tools) within the company and must work with existing system/storage administrators, other technical leads, network support, application analysts/developers/architects, and other IT personnel to resolve day-to-day issues and to execute upgrades during maintenance schedules.  Ability to understand and follow Technical manager guidelines and be a part of IT infrastructure business objectives.  

    Responsibilities

    • Active team member of engineering services infrastructure (Linux, Storage, EDA/LSF compute)
    • Monitor systems and services globally
    • Manage and maintain Linux servers & storage hardware and operating system.
    • Operation, Administration and troubleshooting of hardware & virtual Linux infrastructure globally, including configuration, performance, capacity, monitoring, provisioning, life cycle, security, etc.
    • Support Dev/Ops environment (Linux and open source tools)
    • Collaboration with cross functional teams of IT and vendors to design and deploy virtualization infrastructure solution based on the project requirements
    • Support Xdesktop application ETX/EOD opentext tools environment
    • Support on projects within the team and cross-functionally
    • Participate in root cause analysis to resolve issues quickly in a complex IT environment
    • Support high availability and security by updating and patching systems during maintenance schedules
    • Support remote sites systems provisioning process
    • Follow policies and procedures including those for ITIL incident, problem, change, release management and ISO 27001 guidelines
    • Participate in evaluating tools or any other software applications
    • Perform other duties as requested by team manager
    • Participate in global IT maintenance activities
    • Working in rotational shifts ( EU & US ) CET & PST time zones

     SKILLS:

    • Strong working knowledge of Linux server administration, preferably RHEL or Centos
    • Good working knowledge of NetApp cluster on-tap
    • Experience with at least one scripting language (shell, python, Perl, scripting).
    • Exposure on automation using ansible, or any YAML language
    • Hardware knowledge of HP Chassis/synergy, Supermicro, Dell blade infrastructure
    • Strong working knowledge of system monitoring
    • Effective communication skills (written and presentations)
    • Strong working knowledge of open source software tools
    • Must be able to work well with others
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
    • Ability to travel to other locations (both domestic and international) as needed, sometimes on short notice.
    • On call support to respond on any weekend emergency issues

    Qualifications

    • Any bachelor’s degree or diploma with relevant certifications is required
    • 3 or more years working with enterprise ontap storage software
    • 6 or more years working as Linux system administrator
    • RHEL 6/7 and Netapp cluster ontap 8/9 certifications are an added advantage
    • ITIL V3 & ISO 27001 experience is an added advantage
    • Working experience in Semiconductor companies is an added advantage.
    • Working experience in rotational shifts is an added advantage.
