We create leading-edge semiconductor and IP products, spanning memory and interfaces to security to smart sensors. Our products are integrated into tens of billions of devices and systems around the globe, running critical applications for Big Data, Internet of Things (IoT), mobile, consumer and media platforms.

And our history runs deep – we have been in Silicon Valley for 25+ years and are continually anticipating key technology trends and are developing innovations that drive market changes. From a pure IP provider to becoming a fabless chipmaker, Rambus is evolving to address critical challenges in the semiconductor industry.

As a dynamic organization, we are always seeking to hire exceptional talent to join some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to explore their passions to develop products that have real life impact. As well, Rambus benefits are among the most comprehensive and competitive in Silicon Valley.

Rambus Security Division - Cryptography Products Group is seeking a highly motivated Test Automation Engineer to assist its DPA (Side-Channel Analysis) team.  Join our world-class team of cryptographic experts and development engineers producing advanced secure implementations of embedded security.

    Responsibilities

This position involves testing of hardware and software side-channel countermeasures on processor- and FPGA-based boards.  These test setups have physical test points for power or EM (electromagnetic) probes, A/D (Analog-to-Digital) conversion using data acquisition boards and oscilloscopes, and signal processing elements (filters, amplifiers) in both analog and digital domains.  Working from existing test specifications, plans, and scripts, you will apply and implement these tests first manually and then applying automation. You will work to develop and automate remote testbeds to increase testing efficiency.

    • Experience with testing ASIC and/or software implementations
    • Working knowledge of ASIC- or FPGA-based development boards
    • Familiarity with data acquisition equipment (A/D conversion, oscilloscopes)
    • Understanding of analog and digital signal processing

    Qualifications

    • BS degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering or other relevant scientific/technical field
    • 5+ years’ experience in a technical testing position
    • Strong test skills including automation of testing
    • An interested in learning about cryptography and side-channel analysis
    • Familiarity with Python

Rambus offers an extremely competitive compensation package, which includes a strong base salary, bonus, equity, matching 401(k), employee stock purchase plan, comprehensive medical and dental benefits, time-off program and gym membership.
