    Rambus is looking for a Senior Validation Engineer to join a dynamic and multi-disciplinary team focused on the validation and productization of the buffer program in the Memory and Interface Division.  The engineer will work in the lab to automate data collection and provide results to ensure robust system performance and specification compliance.  The engineer will help define and drive issue resolution in cross functional areas including: system architecture, system development, test planning, system validation, and production.

    The Senior Validation Engineer will work with processor-memory interfaces, including DDR topologies and protocols, as well as high-speed signaling, including signal integrity and power integrity concepts. 


    • Lab bring-up, validation, and characterization of memory buffer semiconductor products.
    • Develop scripts for automating lab equipment for collecting and analyzing lab data.
    • Work with silicon design teams to develop experiments, drive data collection, and present results analysis.
    • Work with test engineers to correlate bench test results with ATE.
    • Provide inputs to FPGA, system, and PCB design requirements.
    • Support Applications Team in understanding and resolving customer issues.


    • BS. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering.
    • 5+ years of memory interface and/or high-speed serdes lab testing experience.
    • Experience with lab equipment, especially high-speed oscilloscopes.
    • Experience writing lab automation scripts, especially in Python and/or Perl.
    • Must be a team player and work well with other lab engineers and circuit/logic/system designers.
    • Understanding of high speed interface concepts, including signal integrity.
    • Working knowledge of test and measurement equipment, troubleshooting and debugging.
    • Knowledge processor / memory system architecture.
    • Hands-on hardware experience with x86 computer systems.
