From our foundation in memory and interfaces, we leverage our history of high-speed circuit design leadership to create high-performance, low-power memory and serial link interface chips and IP cores to meet the needs of increasingly complex Data Center requirements.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop system analysis and architecture design for the next generation SerDes IP within defined specifications and milestones.
    • Design analog/mixed-signal circuits for high-speed SerDes IP using latest CMOS FinFet technologies and ensure timely delivery of quality products and services.
    • Participate in a dynamic and interdisciplinary R&D group that influences and guides Rambus’ technical roadmap.
    • Engage with technical leaders, engineering staff, marketing, and cross-functional teams to develop high value technologies and IP for memory systems and high-speed serial links. 
    • Participate in external customer meetings or internal team design review and technical discussions.  Support customer with PHY IP implementation or debugging.
    • Work in the lab with test boards or customer hardware, and electrical test equipment.

     

    Qualifications

    • MS/PhD with 5+ years of circuit design experience
    • Strong circuit design experience with deep-submicron CMOS technologies with exposure on AFE, DFE, CDR, PLL, IOs, Clocking and Voltage regulators
    • Strong system level experience and understanding of signal integrity, noise, circuits and packaging challenges in high-speed interfaces/physical layers
    • Strong technical knowledge of electrical interface standards such as IEEE Ethernet, OIF-CEI, PCIe, SATA, and USB.
    • Track record of design and production of serial interface PHYs
    • Track record of driving technical solutions across organizational boundaries and multiple technical disciplines
    • Experience working in and leading R&D and future technology development projects
    • Silicon debug and troubleshooting skills are highly desirable. Experience with electrical testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, network/spectrum analyzers.
    • Strong communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) and high degree of self-motivation, team player, and innovation.
