    Description:

    This position reports to the Director of Supply Chain Management, and has broad responsibility for general procurement with particular focus on sustained year-on-year cost reduction across the portfolio of goods and services required by Rambus India office. Through supplier selection, management, and negotiation, it is expected that the role will deliver cost savings in considerable excess to procurement’s operating expenses.

     

    Where necessary, specific technical support and expertise will be provided to ensure the goods and services meet the functional requirements, yet beyond that point, it is expected that the procurement manager leads the supplier engagement thru price negotiations, contract closure, and any periodic supplier performance reviews.

    Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    • Procurement of goods and services in support of Rambus
    • Supplier management and supplier performance feedback (QBR)
    • Development and achievement of annual cost reduction targets
    • Tracking and reporting cost reduction progress
    • Partner with Engineering and IT teams, in particular, to develop best-in-class supplier strategies
    • Develop and maintain Rambus AVL

    Qualifications

    Skills/Requirements:

    • 10 years professional procurement experience
    • Desirable to have technical and/or IT procurement experience
    • Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex purchasing contracts
    • Demonstrated ability to deliver sustained year-on-year cost reductions
    • Well organized, and able to manage multiple projects in parallel
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Familiarity with Oracle procurement model, or equivalent experience
