  • Overview

    Software build and release engineering position with responsibility to develop and maintain the build, test, and release infrastructure, policies, and processes for a complex cryptographic security testing platform in multiple environments. In this position, the successful candidate will understand diverse system technologies and requirements, translate requirements into specifications, and develop, execute, and maintain an effective and efficient build and release infrastructure for the platform. This position will involve working closely to the development and test functions on the product team.

    Responsibilities

    This position entails the following responsibilities:

    • Develop, maintain, and execute internal and external release procedures.
    • Take initiative to recognize obstacles and create solutions, requiring minimal direction, with responsibility for final results.
    • Maintain multi-site source code repositories over air-gapped networks.
    • Participate in product spec/design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems especially as related to build, release, and test functions.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain code development policies and processes.
    • Contribute to development tasks.
    • Act as change agent on development, build and release processes for continual improvement.
    • Establish and cultivate effective working relationships with all team members as well as interfacing to broader organization.

    Qualifications

    Minimum qualification requirement:

    • Proficiency in the setup, configuration, maintenance, and upgrading of one or more operating system families (Linux, Windows, BSD, etc)
    • 5+ years’ experience with multiple build and IDE tools: Visual Studio/MSBuild, gcc/make.
    • 3+ years’ of experience in two or more programming and scripting languages (such as C, C++, C#, Python, and bash/bat).
    • Hands-on experience with tools like Docker, Jenkins, TeamCity
    • Proficiency with version control tools such as Perforce, git
    • Experience configuring and maintaining an issue/bug tracking software, such as Bugzilla, Jira
    • Sound working understanding of python packaging and distribution tools.

    Preferred Skills and Experience:

    • This position will require working with other tools and technologies. Prior experience and training in the technologies listed below will be highly beneficial to the job:
    • VBA scripting Microsoft Office applications or PowerShell.
    • Configuration management on an air-gap network.
    • Knowledge of NuGet package management systems.
    • Understanding of licensing requirements for company and third-party tools. Understanding of open-source licensing.
    • An understanding of the principles of cryptography and common cryptographic algorithms such as AES, DES, 3DES, RSA, ECC, etc.
    • Familiarity with anti-piracy systems (PACE tools).
    • Experience with Matlab, Matlab scripting, and MEX file   development

    Education:

    BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Electronics and Communications, Information Science/Technology, or Electrical Engineering. 8+ years related experience may be substituted for a degree with increased scrutiny of qualifications.
