This position reports to the Dir of Supply Chain Management, and is responsible for supply and supplier management, and the cross-functional processes that are required to reliably meet both customer and financial commitments that depend on supply and our supplier base, with specific emphasis on our Korea and other Asia-based suppliers.


Operational planning and execution leadership is required to drive coherent actions across our supplier base for both existing production and new product introduction. Managing the local production release and any related supplier issues, as well as direct supplier management (Performance, Cost, Quality of Service, etc.) are all in scope of this role.

  • Ensuring product supply is aligned to both the demand view and targeted inventory levels. Delivery performance to customer request and inventory investment are the key metrics.
  • Supplier management for performance, quality, price, capacity, and technical capability.
  • Supplier selection and share management across supplier base, ensuring engineering and development teams are working into the targeted suppliers and technologies
  • Coordination and management of all material movement during engineering samples builds or other preproduction development activities. “The Voice” to our suppliers ensuring no confusion in intent, instruction, or execution during NPI.
  • Strong partnership with Business Unit, particularly Product Engineering/Test Engineering, Development Teams, and Product Marketing
  • Strong partnership with division Financial Controller and other members of the Corporate Operations team, particularly Demand Management and Quality Management.



  • 15-20 years of combined relevant experience across many of these areas desired:
    • Deep expertise in supply chain concepts, processes, and related systems.
    • Technically competent in the base technologies required of our products, and the supplier’s technologies.
    • Program Management, with demonstrated ability to handle large complex programs and/or multiple projects simultaneously
    • Ability to effectively handle imperfect data and make recommendations
    • Hands-on experience with supplier management, including daily execution, price negotiations, quality audits, and crisis management situations
    • Direct, sustained, customer exposure roles
    • Strong interpersonal skills, negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Engineering BS/MS, MBA highly desirable
