We invent and create great things because we know that better only happens if you make it.  Due to continuing high growth Rambus Ticketing is looking for a technical project manager to work on exciting projects for blue chip clients.


Purpose of the Role:

Project Manager’s role is to manage the inception and delivery of projects to internal and external customers within agreed timescales and budgets. To lead and manage project teams (of varying sizes) on a per project basis.

Key Responsibilities


  • Ensure that project documentation and the project itself achieve satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects (typically lasting 6-12 months, with direct business impact, team size variable depending on nature of the project and with firm deadlines)
  • Ensure that realistic project and quality plans are prepared and maintained and provide regular and accurate reports to stakeholders as appropriate
  • Define project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility by collaboration with relevent expert.
  • Provide concise and accurate forecasting of project work effort for resource and financial reporting activities.
  • Ensure quality reviews occur on schedule and according to procedure
  • Manage the change control procedure, and ensure that project deliverables are completed within planned cost, timescale and resource budgets, and are signed off
  • Manage cross functional teams assigned to projects (note, not necessarily as a direct report)
  • Manage external customers and third party suppliers in relation to progress of project and liaise with customer account managers
  • Conduct and compile reports and project documentation a timely basis for all stakeholders
  • Conduct presentation to the sales team and other stakeholder on new and upcoming projects
  • Liaise with the Financial controller to ensure adherence to company finance guidelines and tracking
  • Maintain project completion information to be fed back into future project effort/cost estimates and planning models
  • Provide information as requested from other departments in a timely and reasonable manner
  • Adhere to current Quality, Security, House Keeping and Health & Safety Policies
  • Assist Sales and Technical Sales for work breakdown and work effort estimations.
  • Willingness and ability to travel abroad to client locations (<10%)


Knowledge & Experience

  • A track record of successful project implementation in a software environment
  • 5+ Years’ experience in project management delivering complex software solutions
  • Team management/leading experience; matrix management project teams of varying size
  • Excellent client facing skills
  • Experience of whole project life cycle, from initial conceptual design stage, through systems testing to client acceptance and at the various stages throughout
  • Experience of delivering products and services as part of a large system integration project, managing customer expectations and working in collaboration with third party suppliers
  • Strong affinity for technology, knowledge of development (Java, C++, etc..) and application deployments (JBoss, Tomcat, etc..) a major plus
  • Certifications of project management methodologies (Prince 2/PMI), and knowledge in best practices of software delivery projects
  • Excellent communication and planning skills
  • Fluent in English both spoken and written other Languages a plus
  • Quality and customer oriented
