Position Summary:


Rambus is seeking an experienced and innovative Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to be an integral part of the leadership team, in support of our North America field offices. The HRBP will provide expertise to anticipate challenges, diagnose problems, and lead programs that have a direct impact on the success of the organization.  The HRBP is comfortable working with any level of employee or manager, have a knack at reading a situation, navigating sensitivities and finding creative solutions to people issues. The HRBP is knowledgeable in the areas of talent management, employee engagement, team effectiveness, change management, development advising, and workforce planning.  This role serves as the client relationship manager between the client group and the other functions within HR and frequently partners with other areas of HR when designing and rolling out solutions. The HRBP works independently and under general direction to address a variety of complex problems and/or organizational issues. Ensures a seamless customer experience for all levels of the organization. May manage 1-2 direct reports. Will have the opportunity to take on project/program initiatives.



  • Collaborate with the organization's management to support initiatives by understanding the organization's objectives, issues, needs, and key success factors.
  • Design strategies for facilitating organizational and behavioral change. Perform needs assessment, analysis, and consulting on organizational issues.
  • Investigate basic and complex employee relations issues, and initiate appropriate resolution.
  • Assess organizational and individual staff development needs. Develop and conduct relevant training, and participate in training design.
  • Submit human resources transactions (i.e. Workflows). Prepare reports, and analyze data available through Oracle Business Reports.
  • Take a proactive role in the development of HR priorities and supports in the implementation of these, and other major global/regional change programs as required
  • Own relationship with senior leaders across the region or function
  • Build and leverage relationships with HR other teams (such as Talent Acquisition, HRIS, Total Rewards)
  • Organize and plan work, set priorities and execute action plans.
  • Make data driven-decisions using key metrics.
  • Collaborate effectively with Finance, legal, facilities and IT to deliver impact to the business. Establish measures of success in the design of programs and initiatives in partnership with the other functions.

  • Strong business acumen and understanding of general management and business cycles and practices
  • Demonstrated business partner skills; Ability to establish credibility with business clients, be courageous with coaching and delivering feedback to clients, effectively contract with the business as well as with HR team
  • Knowledge and experience with team dynamics, organizational development, design applications, and process excellence.
  • Strong communication skills- written and verbal; Strong executive presence and ability to present to and facilitate audiences at all levels
  • Knowledge of applicable employment laws, compensation philosophies and HR operating mechanisms.
  • Experience leading and working easily with a team.
  • BS/BA in Management, Human Resources, Organizational Psychology or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%



  • 6+ years of progressive human resources experience in a variety of generalist and specialist roles with 3+ years HRBP support, preferably with a multi-national company
  • BA /MA or equivalent.
  • Successful track record of establishing credibility and trust with a diverse client group.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with business applications, such as Microsoft Office suite and human resource information systems.
