The Rambus Cryptography Research Division is a leading provider of innovative R&D driven technologies, products, and services that today secure nearly nine billion products made annually with tamper resistant technologies. Cryptography Research technologies and products are deployed in many high-volume consumer products with a solid 10+ year record of securing transactions, protecting digital content, and preventing counterfeiting. Cryptography Research is an essential supplier of hardware-and-software-enabled security solutions to multiple industries including semiconductor, pay TV, gaming, printing, government, payments, and entertainment, among others.

Responsibilities

This senior software developer will

  • Specify, develop, deploy, benchmark, and maintain enterprise scale software applications 
  • 80% hands on Java software development; 20% documentation and analysis 
  • Coordinate testing, packaging, deployment and delivery of software and production data in a secure environment 
  • Collaborate with other engineers on code reviews, internal infrastructure, and process enhancements. 
  • Create software, process and tools to manage data, configurations, and other customer deliverables. 

 

Qualifications

 

  • At least eight (8) years of relevant professional engineering experience 
  • Very high technical competence that includes a track record of innovative problem solving and individual technical accomplishments 
  • Significant experience and high degree of competency in all of the following areas: 
  • Hands-on server side, back-end experience developing software with Java SE 1.7/8, JUnit, Ant, Maven, some J2EE 
  • Java and object oriented design concepts, including core libraries, design patterns, encapsulation, polymorphism, inheritance
  • Experience with an agile software development lifecycle including design, development, testing and support 
  • Experience developing core Java applications running on a JRE in the Linux environment (multi-threading, sockets) 
  • Server-side web technologies (servlets, sessions, hibernate, spring, RESTful architecture) 
  • Relational database technologies (Oracle, MySQL)
  • Distributed Databases and messaging systems(Kafka, ElasticSearch, Cassandra)
  • Enterprise application server technologies (Tomcat, Jetty, WebSphere) 
  • Working knowledge of information security concepts and principles
  • Experience with multi-threaded, high-volume, real-time, on-line transaction processing 
  • Experience developing software for systems with high availability requirements 
  • Experience with or willingness to learn about the semiconductor and OEM manufacturing flows 
  • BS/MS in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or related degree preferred; but substantial, relevant, outstanding work experience may substitute in some cases
