  • Specify, develop and deploy C and C++ applications, tools and scripts for security-related applications
  • Create software, process and tools to manage keys, configurations, and customer deliverables.
  • Work with a team to build a software-based security platform





  • BS/MS in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or related degree preferred; but substantial, relevant, outstanding work experience may substitute in some cases
  • At least five years of relevant professional engineering experience
  • Very high technical competence
  • Significant C and C++ programming and software engineering experience
  • Experience with shell scripting
  • Broad knowledge of Linux and GNU/Linux tools (gcc, make, autoconf, etc.)
  • Embedded Linux development for x86 platform and board support packages
  • Ability to build and occasionally customize the Linux kernel
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP and other network protocols
  • Experience with network and application debugging/profiling tools (Wireshark, GDB, Valgrind, Gprof)
  • Strong user and kernel level debugging skills
  • Experience with providing a solid platform to application developers
  • Experience with integrating open-source packages in the system
  • Performance, load and stress benchmarking and testing





  • Experience maintaining a custom linux distro package is a plus
  • Experience with hardware bring-up is a plus
  • Platforms using hardware security modules (local HSMs), SafeNet, Thales
  • Network security protocols, features, and policies
  • Network security appliance applications (Firewalls, anti-virus, UTMs, IDS/IPA, VPN, Vulnerability)
  • Distributed computing, clusters, virtualization, high availability, load balancing
  • Experience with or willingness to learn about semiconductor and OEM manufacturing test and assembly flow
