The NPI Planner is responsible for endtoend material planning and execution for New Product Introduction programs, from early wafer planning through sample and pilot shipments, and handoff to High Volume Manufacturing (HVM). This role partners closely with Engineering, PMO, Marketing, Sales Operations, OSATs, and internal Operations teams to ensure material readiness, schedule alignment, and on time execution across multiple NPI programs.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • NPI Supply & Material Planning

Own NPI demandtosupply planning, including wafer dispatch, assembly, test, and shipment planning.

Translate program milestones (PD3/PD4/PD4.5) into executable material and shipment plans.

Build supply plan and track plan versus actual for wafers, WIP, FG, and shipments; proactively identify gaps and risks.

 

  • Execution & OSAT Coordination

Release and manage NPI activities in D365 or special instruction per approved wafer and assembly plans.

Work directly with foundry, OSAT partners on commits, pullins, expedites, and material availability.

Monitor WIP movement through wafer to bump/assembly and test to ensure alignment with committed ship dates.

 

  • Sample & Customer Shipment Support

Support customer and internal sample shipments, including priority setting and schedule confirmation.

Partner with PMO, Marketing and Sales Operations on shipment timing, order fulfillment, and customer communication.

Ensure shipment documentation, system transactions, and confirmations are completed accurately.

 

  • CrossFunctional Communication

Provide clear, timely updates on material status, risks, and recovery plans to PMO and stakeholders.

Participate in weekly NPI, PMO, and operations reviews with concise status reporting.

Escalate issues early with datadriven options and recommendations.

 

  • Process & System Discipline

Maintain data accuracy across D365, trackers, and dashboards.

Follow defined NPI planning, inventory, and EOL/scrap processes.

Contribute to process improvements, standardization, and documentation.

 

  • Success Measures

Ontime NPI shipments versus commit

Planning accuracy (plan vs. actual)

Clean execution of version transitions and NPItoHVM handoff

Quality and timeliness of crossfunctional communication

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in supply planning, operations, or manufacturing support.
  • Experience supporting NPI programs with a solid understanding of the NPItoHVM lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with OSAT operations and wafer/assembly/test flows is a plus.
  • Handson experience with ERP systems (D365 preferred) and Excelbased planning tools.
  • Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to operate in fastpaced environments.
  • Clear communicator with the ability to work crossfunctionally and manage competing priorities.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) and coding languages is a plus. (Python/SQL) is a plus.
