Overview

Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider making data faster and safer, is seeking to hire an exceptional Lead Member of Technical Staff (MTS), Analog Engineering, to join our Memory Interface Chip (MIC) group in Bangalore, In this role, you will be working with some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world developing products that make data faster and safer.

 

As an Lead MTS, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing and contributing to achieving the world class analog design. In this full/part-time role, you’ll report directly to our Manager Analog Engineering. Our MIC is dedicated to innovating and leading the memory interface chip industry, and your contributions will be instrumental in Register clock driver (RCD) and Clock driver (CKD) design

 

Rambus offers a flexible work environment, embracing a hybrid approach for most office-based roles. Employees are encouraged to spend an average of at least three days per week onsite, allowing for two days of remote work.

Responsibilities

    • Designs, develops, and builds analog circuits in advanced process nodes for analog and mixed signal IPs.
    • Designs floorplans, performs circuit design, extracts chip parameters, and simulates analog behavior models, creates test plans to verify design according to circuit and block microarchitecture specifications and evaluates test results.
    • Verifies functionality to optimize circuit for power, performance, area, timing, and yield goals.
    • Collaborates cross functionally to report design progress and collects, tracks, and resolves any performance and circuit design issues.
    • Optimizes performance, power, area, and reduces leakage of circuits. Works with architecture and layout team to design circuits for best functionality, robustness, and electrical capabilities

Qualifications

  • Master’s with 8+ years (or PhD with 6+ years) of experience in CMOS analog/mixed-signal circuit design.
  • Prior experience in some of the following circuits: Transmitter, Receiver (with CTLE, DFE), PLL, DLL, PI, LDO regulators.
  • Good knowledge of design principles for practical design tradeoffs.
  • Knowledge of high-speed chip to chip interfaces (memory PHY, SerDes) is a strong plus.
  • Experience in modeling (Verilog-A, Verilog) and scripting is desirable.
  • The position requires good written & verbal communication skills as well a strong commitment and ability to work in cross functional and globally dispersed teams.
