Overview

Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire a highly skilled Indirect Procurement Manager to join our team. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to enable the development of products that make data faster and safer.

This role will be part of a global procurement organization with a mission to drive category strategy across Rambus, be the trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, and be the professional external representative for Rambus to the supply base.  Cost reduction will be a critical KPI, but the individual in this role will also be expected to influence the direction of the organization, improve overall total cost of ownership of indirect supply, help improve profit margin of all current and future Rambus products, and exemplify effectiveness, strategic thinking, and relationship management.

Responsibilities

  • Primary Responsibilities:

    • Be the leader for ERP and P2P process enhancements including the following:
      • Drive continuous improvement to the P2P process
      • Be the team expert in D365 functionality
      • Lead a bi-weekly ERP enhancement meeting to drive continuous improvement
      • Develop/enhance ERP reports to aid in analysis by the entire Procurement team
    • Be the strategy owner and key negotiator for worldwide Design Services and Travel
    • Manage the relationship with key suppliers for Design Services and Travel
    • Develop and implement cost reduction initiatives for tail spend suppliers
    • Operate independently as sole procurement representative in the Rambus India office
      • Must be capable and willing to challenge decisions without waiting for US approval

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Be accountable for the negotiation strategies for your category
  • Perform data analytics using pivot tables and PowerBI to drive strategies
  • Collaborate and partner with other Rambus internal teams (must be a team player)
  • Support other category managers for EMEA and APAC specific procurement activities
  • Manage supplier performance & conduct supplier evaluations
  • Lead a monthly Procurement Savings meeting, including the following:
    • Own the meeting format and drive continuous improvements to the function and purpose of the meeting
    • Assure the savings tracker is updated and maintained
  • Support internal and external audits as required
  • Support the following Procurement processes:
    • Issuing PO’s for EMEA and APAC purchases
    • Support PR creations as needed
    • Onboarding new suppliers
    • Validating supplier bank and name changes
  • Perform semi-annual ERP customization testing

Qualifications

  • Strong leaderships skills and accountability are a must
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement
  • A good understanding of the semiconductor market and manufacturing process
  • Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management, IT, Engineering or similar field of study
  • A strong interest in negotiation and willingness to engage in critical conversations and complex problem solving
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group internally and externally
