Overview

Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional Director – Business Transformation to join our CIO Transformation Office in San Jose, CA. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.  

 

As a Director – Business Transformation, the candidate will be reporting to the SVP & CIO and is a Full Time position. Director - Business Transformation (BT) will spearhead enterprise-wide efforts to modernize, integrate, and optimize the organization’s ERP systems. This role is a key strategic position responsible for aligning technology solutions with business objectives, streamlining processes, and driving value realization through change initiatives in finance, supply chain, sales operations, HR, BI and analytics. The ideal candidate will blend technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership skills to ensure the transformation aligns with organizational goals. 

 

Rambus offers a flexible work environment, embracing a hybrid approach for the majority of our office-based roles. We encourage employees to spend an average of at least three days per week working onsite, allowing for two days of remote work.  

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: 

  • Develop and execute the ERP transformation strategy in alignment with the organization’s business goals. 
  • Collaborate with C-suite executives and senior stakeholders to ensure buy-in and alignment across departments. 

Program Management: 

  • Oversee the planning, design, implementation, and enhancements/deployment of systems, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. 
  • Manage cross-functional project teams, including internal staff, external vendors, and consultants. 
  • Lead enterprise-wide AI transformation initiatives  

Business Process Optimization: 

  • Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement through standard ERP capabilities. 
  • Work with business units to design and implement best practices and streamline workflows. 

Change Management: 

  • Develop and lead organizational change management initiatives to ensure adoption of new systems and processes. 
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization to foster understanding and support for the transformation effort. 
  • Vendor and Partner Management: 
  • Manage relationships with partners/vendors, consultants, and service providers. 
  • Negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and ensure deliverables meet organizational needs. 

Risk Management and Compliance: 

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with business transformation. 
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and organizational standards. 

Performance Measurement and Reporting: 

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of transformation initiatives. 
  • Provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders on project progress, challenges, and achievements. 

Continuous Improvement: 

  • Establish mechanisms for ongoing optimization and scaling of ERP solutions post-implementation.
  • Stay informed of industry trends and emerging technologies to guide future  enhancements. 

Qualifications

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or related field; MBA or relevant master’s degree preferred. 

Experience: 

  • 10+ years of experience in business transformation, program management, or ERP implementation. 
  • Proven track record of leading end-to-end ERP transformation projects, with systems like Oracle//Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce etc 

Skills and Competencies: 

  • Deep understanding of business systems and their role in driving business outcomes. 
  • Strong analytical skills to assess business needs and translate them into technology solutions. 
  • Excellent leadership and team management capabilities. 
  • Proficient in stakeholder engagement and communication at all organizational levels. 
  • Expertise in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira). 

Certifications: 

  • PMP, PRINCE2, or other project management certifications preferred. 

ERP-specific certifications in MS Dynamics D365 are a plus.

Rambus offers a competitive compensation package including base salary, bonus, equity, matching 401(k), employee stock purchase plan, comprehensive medical and dental benefits, time-off program, and gym membership.  

 

The US salary range for this full-time position is $172,300.00 to $320,100.00.  Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.
