Overview

Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking for a dynamic, highly motivated, experienced Senior Embedded Hardware Support Engineer, having a strong affection with embedded hardware development and its development tools, to join our Silicon IP team in Vught part of the Silicon IP Business Unit of Rambus. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.

 

As a Senior Member of Technical Staff (SMTS) Embedded Hardware Support Engineer, the candidate will be reporting to the Sr Mgr Technical Support and is a Full-Time position.

 

Rambus offers a flexible work environment, embracing a hybrid approach for the majority of our office-based roles. We encourage employees to spend an average of at least three days per week working onsite, allowing for two days of remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Execute IP package assembly and checks
  • Create and release IP maintenance updates
  • Perform IP Release inspection of all product deliverables before customer shipment
  • Deliver efficient and effective technical support to our customers world-wide, responding in a swift and accurate way, performing independent case research with the embedded hardware domain
  • Responsible for managing and tracking individual cases, monitoring progress, informing customers, etc.
  • Work closely with R&D team, distributing customer feedback and highlighting improvement topics

Qualifications

  • BS or MS degree in Hardware Engineering, Computing Science or comparable level
  • 5+ years’ experience in the security or chip industry in engineering or technical support positions at R&D centers or system laboratories
  • In depth knowledge of hardware description languages (Verilog, VHDL, SystemVerilog), scripting languages and SoC, Silicon IP and/or FPGA design/verification flows
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal as well as written (English, preferably also Dutch)
  • Ability to communicate with colleagues that think and communicate in another domain (Silicon IP, management, business, sales)
  • Ability to work closely with geographically dispersed customer teams
  • Team working skills in international environment
  • Self-motivation, hands-on approach on all activities
  • Practical knowledge of embedded hardware
  • Advantage: Practical knowledge of cryptography, security protocols and security implementations
  • Advantage: Practical knowledge of embedded software
