Overview

Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire an exceptional Sr. Principal Test Engineer to join our Operations team in Lowell, Massachusetts. Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.

 

As a Sr. Principal Test Engineer, the candidate will be reporting to Director of Test Engineering and is a Full Time position.  Rambus is seeking experienced, process-driven Test Engineers to join our cross-functional team in supporting Memory Interface product development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop test plans and test solutions to validate new product designs, support qualification and release to manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams in new product development, review testability, test coverage and DFT for new products.
  • Provide support to local and offshore manufacturing groups to transfer products, maintain product quality and high yield.
  • Use statistical analysis tools to analyze data and generate supporting documentation.
  • Develop and support best practices, mentoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support product quality and company financial objectives.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience developing accurate and efficient test solutions on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) for Final Test and Wafer Sort of Power Management ICs (PMICs).
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical or Electronic Engineering required.
  • Experienced in development of test programs in C++ on ATE test platforms, Advantest 93K preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of analog, mixed signal and power semiconductor circuits and testing methodology for switching and linear regulators, drivers, references, ADC, OTP/MTP, scan.
  • Proficient using test hardware design tools for schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and priorities as needed in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.

The US salary range for this full-time position is $115,600.00 to $214,800.00. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level and location. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location and market conditions.
