Rambus, a premier chip and silicon IP provider, is seeking to hire a Digital Logic Engineer to join our Security IP team in the Netherlands (Vught or Rotterdam, NL). Candidates will be joining some of the brightest inventors and engineers in the world to develop products that make data faster and safer.

As a Digital Logic Engineer, the candidate will be reporting to the Engineering Manager, and is a full-time position. This engineer will work closely with IP developers, Architects and Product Managers on the current and next generation Root-of-Trust products. Part of the job is to work with customer support engineers from Rambus, servicing large customers with expert knowledge on the current generation of Crypto-Manager Root-of-Trust product.

• Work closely with the architects to learn the Crypto-Manager Root-of-Trust product.
• Jointly architect and develop the next generation Root-of-Trust product.
• Cooperate with the Software Team, Product Managers, Security experts and other stakeholders to define the next generation security products.
• Drive improvement in product quality and safety.
• Be the expert line of support for servicing customers.
• Assure the delivered product and documentation adheres to Rambus quality and safety standards.

Experience/Skills

• BS/MS degree in electrical or computer engineering required.
• Work experience in digital design either as hardware engineer or test engineer.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Verilog/(or VHDL) and digital design.
• Expertise in some or all of the following areas is beneficial:
  • Secure hardware design
  • Cryptographic algorithms and side-channel attacks
  • High performance CPU architecture and design.
  • Modern SoC design methodologies and architectures.
  • Low-power design techniques.
  • Clock and reset domain crossing techniques.
  • DFT, especially memory testing and characterization and/or Logic BIST methodologies.
  • Hardware development experience in UNIX/Linux environments, including supporting tasks such as shell scripting and basic Perl scripts.
  • Ability to work with technical writers in the creation of technical documentation.
