The Customer Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting customer requests related to new product introduction, product quality and the requirements of the Rambus Quality Management System (QMS). This position plays a critical role in the maintenance and improvement of our customer’s satisfaction. There will be substantial direct exposure to customers and suppliers. Lean, effective methods will be supported and non-traditional approaches to the problem will be encouraged providing we are achieving the desired results. The position will be located in Korea and reports to the Director of Quality.

• Build strong customer relationships, and drive improvements to close quality systems requirements gaps
• Be responsible for receipt and communication of customer requests related to new product introduction, product quality and QMS requirements
• Provide a critical interface between corporate functions and the customers/suppliers
• Manage supplier response to requests for product and environmental data and reports
• Develop, implement, and maintain technical quality management projects and tools that support and improve customer quality service. 
• Participate in the resolution of customer quality issues
• Assist with project definition for overall quality improvement processes
• Lead project teams in related quality initiatives
• Provide customer quality engineering support for supplier factory visits and audits
• Develop and drive quality improvement programs with customers and suppliers

• Ideal candidate will have 10+ years of semiconductor engineering experience in a Reliability and/or Quality/Product Engineering role.
• BS in Electrical Engineering, a MS or MBA is preferred
• Must be fluent in Korean and English
• Candidate is expected to be an extremely well organized individual with an ability to manage several competing issues simultaneously. 
• Strong customer interface, communication and presentation skills are necessary as well as structured problem solving and organizational abilities
• Knowledge of and experience with semiconductor related environmental reqs (RoHS, REACh, Conflict materials, etc.) and the supporting data submission
• Understanding of quality and reliability engineering tools
• Deep knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes
• Experience applying JEDEC quality related standards, ISO and the science behind them.
• Must know reliability fail modes of silicon/packaging technologies and fail mechanisms with respect to reliability.
• Experience in auditing supplier sites, materials and processes.
• Experience in driving suppliers in the areas of silicon Fab process / packaging / assembly, test, on-going reliability monitoring, post-production qualification.
